3 Weeks in Istanbul: Tursucu K

For the last three weeks I was back in my hometown, Istanbul. I had the chance to what a fascinating city it is to take pictures in. Yet somehow I found myself caught in the whirlpool of Ara Guler-esque pictures one after the other. Although I had been observing this tendency through my fellow DA artists, I thought they were all deliberate decisions. Spending 3 weeks there I quickly realized that it is some sort of genetical tendency that overrides your prior motives. Anyhow, I went through that phase and I ended up having curiously predictable pictures.

Yet, I have no regrets.

This one up above is Sahin K working incognito as a pickles dealer in Istanbul. For those that dont know who or what sahin k is here is a brief note. Sahin K is a the first male turkish porn star who earned his reputation through kitsch films he made. Looks like he is working as pickle salesman in Kadikoy in his spare time.
